PRIVACY POLICY (Website & Mobile App)

This Privacy Policy explains how we process personal data when you use:

  • our website (gazer.com and its pages) (the "Website"), and
  • the Gazer CAR mobile app for Android and iOS and related services (the "App" / the "Service").

  • Part A - Website Privacy Policy (gazer.com)

    • 1. What personal data is collected on the Website?
      When visiting and using the Website, you may provide certain personal data, i.e., information that can directly or indirectly identify you.
      The data that Gazer Limited may collect when you create an account, request a catalog or product/service information may include: full name, address, phone number, email, and password associated with your account.
      Information requested on the Website may be marked as mandatory or optional. If you do not provide mandatory information, access to certain sections may be restricted, or we may not be able to respond to your request.
    • 2. How is your data used?
      When you create an account on the Website, your personal data is processed by Gazer Limited and may be used to:
      • create your account and respond to your requests regarding products/services;
      • send advertising and marketing offers in accordance with your selected preferences;
      • provide personalized content and offers on the Website.
    • 3. Data protection
      Gazer Limited considers it its responsibility to protect the data you provide on the Website. Technical and organizational measures are used to prevent unauthorized access, use, modification, deletion, disclosure, unlawful processing of personal data, as well as accidental loss and damage. However, absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
      Security is ensured, in particular, through:
      • password protection;
      • restricting access to data to authorized persons (for example, Gazer Limited employees or service providers who need access for the purposes stated above).
      We recommend using strong passwords, changing them regularly, and not sharing them with third parties.
    • 4. Who has access to your data?
      Your personal data is not shared with third parties, except for:
      • affiliates within the Gazer Limited group;
      • authorized employees of Gazer Limited and service providers for the provision of services or performance of tasks on behalf of Gazer Limited (including sales support, marketing research, customer service, account/content/service management);
      • purchasers or potential purchasers in the event of acquisition of the companies;
      • cases where required or permitted by law.
    • 5. Your options regarding direct marketing
      In accordance with your preferences and applicable law, Gazer Limited may send advertising and marketing offers about products and services on the Website (by mail, email / SMS).
      You may opt out of marketing messages at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the message or by writing to the address in the "Contact" section below.
    • 6. Cancellation of registration / deletion / modification of data after creating an account
      You can cancel your registration on the Website and delete your data at any time:
      • log out from the Website and your account;
      • go to the "My Profile" tab;
      • click "Delete My Account";
      • confirm deletion of your profile.
    • 7. Third-party websites
      The Website may contain links to third-party websites that are not covered by this Policy. The practices of such third parties may differ.
      Since the companies within the Gazer Limited group do not own or control such websites, we are not responsible for their collection and use of data. We recommend carefully reviewing their privacy policies.
    • 8. Use of data from accounts created on another Gazer website/service
      If you created an account on another Gazer-branded website or service, we may use data from that account to pre-fill registration details on the Website to simplify the process.
      If you do not want data from other accounts to be used in this way, please contact support at the address in the "Contact" section below.
    • 9. Changes to the Policy (Website)
      If the Policy changes, the updated text will be posted on the Website. We recommend checking the page periodically.
    • 10. Your rights
      In accordance with applicable privacy and data processing consent laws, you may access your data, correct it, delete it and/or restrict processing on legal grounds, and exercise other rights granted to you.
  • Part B - Mobile App Privacy Policy (Gazer CAR Android/iOS)

    • 11. What this section covers
      This section applies to the Gazer CAR mobile app (Android/iOS) and related services (the "Service") and describes data processing for login, telematics, maps, notifications, and security functions.
    • 12. What data is processed in the App / Service
      A) Account and authentication
      • phone number (for login and SMS);
      • password and PIN (stored securely; not stored in plain text);
      • account identifiers and technical identifiers necessary to operate the Service.
      B) Vehicle data and telematics (from the in-vehicle device)
      • vehicle location transmitted by the device installed in the vehicle;
      • trip history / routes (from the in-vehicle device);
      • vehicle telemetry.
      C) Phone location - for map display only
      When you use map features (for example, when you tap "Show on map"), the App may access the phone's precise location to display your position on the map. Your phone's location is processed on the device and is not sent to our servers.
      D) Push notifications
      • push tokens and notification delivery data for sending notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM).
      E) SMS
      We may send SMS messages. Our SMS providers Twilio and AWS process phone numbers and may process SMS content, as well as delivery metadata, in order to deliver messages.
    • 13. Purposes of processing (App / Service)
      We process data in order to:
      • authenticate users and protect accounts;
      • display the vehicle on the map and support the "find vehicle" functionality;
      • display trip history and routes (from the in-vehicle device);
      • show status, telemetry, and alerts (security / anti-theft / diagnostics);
      • send push notifications and SMS messages;
      • ensure stability and security, prevent fraud, and comply with law.
    • 14. Data sharing / service providers
      We share data only to the extent necessary to operate the Service:
      • AWS (EU region): hosting, storage, and Service databases (telematics, trip history, account data);
      • Google Maps: display of maps and routes;
      • Firebase Cloud Messaging: delivery of push notifications;
      • Twilio and AWS: delivery of SMS (Twilio and AWS may process SMS content).
      We do not use App data for advertising tracking.
    • 15. Retention (App / Service)
      • telematics data and trip history are stored until the account is deleted, because the Service is designed for long-term history (from the in-vehicle device);
      • limited backups may be retained for a short time after deletion for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, and system integrity, after which they are deleted or anonymized according to internal procedures.
    • 16. Permission management
      You can manage permissions (including location access) in your device settings. If you disable location, map features related to showing your position may have limited functionality.
    • 17. Account and data deletion (Gazer CAR)
      You can delete your Gazer CAR account and associated data (including trip history and telematics):
      In the App: Settings → Delete account (path may vary by version).
      Without access to the App (email request): send an email to feedback@gazer.com with subject "Account Deletion Request" and include the phone number used for the account. We may request additional information to verify account ownership.
    • 18. Security
      We apply technical and organizational security measures (encryption in transit, access controls, logging, etc.). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
    • 19. International processing
      Service data is primarily processed and stored in AWS (EU). If processing occurs outside your country, appropriate safeguards are applied in accordance with applicable law.
    • 20. Children
      The App is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect children's data.
    • 21. Changes to the Policy
      We may update this Policy. The updated version will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
