Gazer MU700

Car rear-view mirror with a built-in 4.3´´ 1000 cd/m² monitor and 2 video inputs for rear-view camera connection and additional  video feed. The mirror’s chief peculiarity is a universal mount to which special detachable MB series adapters can be connected. One can use the control button that remembers the last setting to change the brightness of the built-in monitor or switch it off. Two versions of the mirror are available – with auto-dimming function and without it.

Universal mount design

What sets Gazer MU700 apart from other mirrors is its special mount design. The mirror’s mounting bracket has a universal flat platform for mounting special MB series detachable adapters. An adapter is needed for mounting an MU mirror in a specific car model. Thus, MU series mirrors with a universal mounting bracket are suitable for standard installation in the majority of popular car models – all one needs to do is select a compatible adapter and attach it to the mirror. This makes the selection and further use of the device much easier.

Complete compatibility with your car

Gazer MU series rear-view mirror with a built-in monitor is an exact analogue of the original car mirror. In terms of the mirror surface quality and body design, the model is not only completely identical to the manufacturer supplied mirror but surpasses it by performance and functionality. Gazer mirror helps use the car’s interior space more efficiently without blocking the driver’s view with additional equipment. Therefore, Gazer rear-view mirror will become an effective element of the video parking system and a full-fledged alternative to the standard manufacturer supplied mirror.

Simple and fast installation

Gazer rear-view mirror with a built-in monitor is very simple to install. It requires minimal effort and does not take a lot of time. The standard scope of delivery includes a switching unit, mounting accessories and a user manual with a detailed description of the installation process. Gazer rear-view mirror is designed for cars with a 12 V onboard power system.

Auto-dimming function

During night hours, Gazer MU700 mirror surface gets dim every time it is hit with bright glare from headlights of cars driving behind. This protects the driver from blinding through the rear-view mirror, which makes driving a car at night a more comfortable experience. In addition, the mirror surface dimming intensity changes automatically depending on the lighting conditions.

Efficient operation

As part of a video parking system, Gazer mirror operates in a way that is both simple and efficient. When the car is driving in reverse, the video signal from the rear-view camera will be displayed on the built-in 4.3” monitor. This enables the driver to control the distance to obstacles behind the car that cannot be seen in side mirrors or in a standard interior rear-view mirror. When the car is moving forward and the built-in monitor is turned off, Gazer mirror turns into a standard rear-view mirror – with a completely clear mirror surface and the built-in monitor made absolutely invisible.

2 composite video inputs

Gazer rear-view mirror has two composite video inputs that allow pairing the mirror not only with a rear-view camera but also with a front-view camera, a car DVR or a DVD player. The rear-view camera feed, however, will be prioritized at all times: when the car shifts into reverse, the built-in monitor will automatically switch to the rear-view camera feed. When the video camera turns off, the monitor will switch to the previous operating mode (it will turn off or switch to a different video signal from tanother source).

Furthermore, the mirror automatically switches to PAL or NTSC format depending on the input video signal. Both PAL and NTSC supporting equipment can be connected.

Bright display

One of the key Gazer mirror advantages is its built-in display with a very high brightness level –1000 cd/m². This allows delivering a bright colorful image through a high quality mirror surface in any lighting conditions. Even in broad daylight, the built-in monitor will provide a crisp and high contrast image.

For maximum viewing convenience, the mirror’s front panel has a central control button with extended functionality. When driving in reverse, one can use this button to set the brightness level of the built-in monitor that will be applied to all video inputs. When the reverse gear is switched off, the button is used to turn the monitor on and off. The mirror also has a “memory” function that remembers the last setting and enables it whenever the car engine starts. If the monitor is turned off by pressing the button, it will not turn back on automatically the next time the engine starts.
